Yesterday, we sat glued to our television screens, as did the rest of the world.
Waiting and watching as Barack Hussaian Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America..and history was made as the first 'Black' president of the US will now live and work in the 'White' House.
Strange as it may seem, one of the predominat thoughts in my mind, watching him give his Inaugural speech was that the spirit of Martin Luther King, as well as many thousands of people who lost their lives in the Civil Rights movement would actually have been smiling, wherever they were at that moment.
For all that they had fought for and all that they had desired was unfolding on that Podium off Washington Square.
When a young(ish)Black man took the oath of the President of that same country.
Where slaves who were penned at night, built that same 'White House', brick by brick...
Obama we expect a lot from you, so make that change (that the world is looking towards you for)- happen
